Whether you’re a Plastic Free July veteran or first timer, there's never been a better time to go zero-waste! Each year MILLIONS of people take the challenge to go completely plastic free for the month of July.
Plastic Free July is a global movement that creates awareness of the plastic issue and shows us that there are alternatives out there. If we work together we can be the solution to the plastic problem!
As with anything a little difficult, preparation is key. And no, that doesn’t mean go stock up on all the plastic products you might need throughout July... (confession time: that’s exactly what my partner did a few years ago 🤦♀️).
Here at Pleasant State we believe in setting realistic goals and not beating ourselves up should we slip up every now and then, we’re all only human!
But Plastic Free July is a little different, we really like to challenge ourselves during this time so we’ve put together some of our top tips for nailing plastic-free living in 2023!
First up, you need to sign up to take the Plastic Free July challenge, you can do it here. They’ve also got a bunch of useful resources to help you throughout.
Maybe it’s a partner, your housemates or a friend! It’s SO much easier when the people around you support your endeavours. That way you can bounce ideas off each other, back each other up when you have strange requests at the supermarket and have someone other than yourself to hold you accountable.
If you don’t already have them, grab yourself a keep cup and drink bottle (we love frankgreen.com.au). There are amazing sites like goforzero.com.au that have a whole bunch of handy zero waste products!
We thought this one might be obvious, but we thought we’d mention it here just in case.
