Why You Should Wash Your Fruit & Veggies!

Just like we wash our hands to avoid germs & nasty chemicals, we should be thinking the same for our fresh produce!

Sometimes fruit & vegetables can contain harmful germs that can make you and your family sick. In addition to this, most of our commercial fruit and vegetables like the ones from our supermarket have all been exposed to pesticides and sprays at some point of their journey, unless certified organic.

Even if you do not plan to eat the skin, it is still important to wash produce first so dirt and bacteria are not transferred from the surface when peeling or cutting produce.

While washing your fresh produce with water and scrubbing will remove dirt and some of the other germs and residues, we recommended using our fruit & vege wash for a more thorough clean. There's a reason we don't use water alone to wash our hands, you can expect a thorough clean with our fruit & vege wash!

How do you use it!?

To use our Gleaming Greens fruit & vege wash, spray directly onto produce then rinse & dry.

Or is cleaning produce in bulk. We recommend adding two tablespoons of solution to a sink or bucket of cold water, add produce for one minute then rinse and dry.
