Endometriosis Awareness Month

Common Cleaning Ingredients linked to Endometriosis!

This Endometriosis Awareness month, we're shining a light on the impact cleaning chemicals can have on your risk of Endometriosis, and the severity of flare ups.

Endocrine disruptors like BPA (used in the manufacturing of certain plastics) and phthalates (also found in plastics and often used to make fragrances linger longer), have been linked to Endometriosis and are commonly found in cleaning and beauty products.

Abbey is one of our amazing customers. She was diagnosed with Endometriosis at 18 after a long 7 year process. Abbey did a lot during that time to dry and workout what the issue was, but being a condition that isn't really spoken about made it very difficult.

Seen being diagnosed Abbey has undergone 9 invasive procedures to try and help with her pain and flare ups but it wasn't working. She got to the point where she couldn't just rely on the doctors so she started doing research into more natural alternatives to some of her surgeries and medication.

"In my research the biggest thing I found was toxic products, things as simple as perfumes in laundry and cleaning products that we use everyday...I started making my own cleaning products as I couldn't find anything in the market. But as soon as I heard about Pleasant State I jumped on it right away.

I've definitely noticed a difference since switching to more natural therapies and reducing the use of toxic cleaning products in my house."

- Abbey
